PD-L1 ELISA

Immune Checkpoint pathway for PD-L1 & its receptor PD-1.

Need to detect PD-L1? Simple Plex™ has your fastest PD-L1 answer yet.

B7-H1/PD-L1 (programmed cell death 1 - ligand 1; CD274) is a significant cancer immunotherapy target of interest. It is a potential predictive cancer biomarker whose overexpression on tumor cells suppresses the immune response against the tumor. The PD-1 receptor (programmed cell death 1; CD279), and its ligand PD-L1 belong to the family of immune checkpoint proteins that act as co-inhibitory factors, and can inhibit the T cell response.

PD-1 is expressed on the surface of activated T cells while PD-L1 is commonly expressed on the surface of dendritic cells, macrophages, and overexpressed on tumor cells for many cancers. Immunoassays enable the measurement of PD-L1 overexpression despite some known limitations. For example, detection of PD-L1 via immunohistochemistry (IHC) often produces variable results. Other methods like manual ELISAs lack low pg/mL sensitivity and are tedious to setup and run, making them more error-prone.

The Simple Plex™ assay format is a hands-free, highly reproducible and sensitive immunoassay for the detection of PD-L1. With the new Simple Plex ELISA for PD-L1, you'll be able to detect endogenous PD-L1 at <60 pg/mL from human serum/plasma over 4-5 logs of dynamic range, and achieve zero cross-reactivity if you multiplex. It's as easy as pipette, run and done! Simply scan the barcode, add your samples, place the assay in the Ella instrument and press start. Come back in an hour and get fully analyzed results—your ELISAs have never been easier!
